Book Review: At the Heart of the Missing by Annie Daylon

Rose Harrington is planning a vacation, but first, she decides to have a brief fling with the man she Flynn, promised her late mother that he'd watch out for her and worries when she doesn't contact him. Thus starts the investigation as Flynn tries to find his missing friend.
meets at the farmers' market. Her friend, P.I. Shaughnessy
I found the story slow at the beginning, but it soon picks up speed to a satisfying conclusion. Some aspects of the crime were telegraphed early, but I didn't mind as the characters are fascinating and the story is well-told. It's a quick read and a good thriller.
