But after an altercation with a drunk passenger is posted on social media, he's forced to go on administrative leave until his name can be cleared. MEET THE AUTHOR: Marianne Rice writes contemporary romances set in small New England towns. Her heroes are big and strong, yet value family and humor, while her heroines are smart, sexy, sometimes a little bit sassy, and are often battling a strong internal conflict. Together, they deal with real life issues and always, always, find everlasting love. When she’s not writing, Marianne spends her time buying shoes, eating chocolate, chauffeuring her herd of children to their varying sporting events, and when there’s time, cuddling with her husband, a drink in one hand, a romance book in the other.

Review:

I was given an ARC by the author and I'm glad she did. Graham Riley is an interesting hero, a pilot who defends those weaker than himself, but who also masks his empathy with jokes and sex because of his abusive childhood. Maggie O'Fallon is a therapist in the small town of Rocky Harbor assigned to treat Graham by the airlines after an incident with a drunken passenger.
There is an instant attraction and Maggie refers Graham almost immediately to another therapist. She has her own issues from her childhood and is looking for someone who wants to settle down, which isn't Graham - or is it?
I really enjoyed this story. It goes into a lot of depth with the backgrounds of the main characters which made them all the more real. Of course, it's set right outside where I live now so it's fun to read about the Old Port, Fort Williams, and other local attractions that are interwoven into the story. I can't wait to read the stories of the other Riley siblings.
